meet Jen Welo
Jen is a Clinical Intern working toward her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Jen brings a warm and direct approach to help you explore your patterns and build deeper connections with yourself and others. She began her career in the public education system, where she worked as an art educator for 10 years. During this time, she developed a deep love and respect for children and their families. Jen offers art-making as a means for exploring the self when words are not sufficient. She believes healing isn't linear and happens at our own pace, with ups and downs along the way. Jen emphasizes the importance of self-compassion, humor, and slowing down in the journey for change.
She sees all ages, including families and couples, who want to enhance their relationships and communication. Jen enjoys supporting folks with anxiety, depression, sexual concerns, spirituality, and life changes. She loves collaborating with people from all cultural backgrounds and is curious to understand and empower your unique experience.
Jen welcomes non-traditional relationship structures and works from an intersectional feminist lens, using collaborative and attachment theory in session. She is pursuing her MA in Marriage and Family therapy and practicing under the supervision of Samantha Colai. Outside work, she loves eating good food, stretching, and painting old furniture.
